Create your own Button Blanket. Whether you are a classroom, community group or organization; we will work together to create a design that depicts you.
Participants are given an introduction to the importance and practice of Button Blankets in Indigenous culture. Together, we will create a design that signifies and portrays your group. Designs will be created, buttons will be sewn and conversation will fill the room.
Length of workshop: Three one and a half hour guided sessions with the understanding that participants will continue to work on the project in between the three sessions. Materials are an added cost as per the design chosen.
First session: Introduction to Button Blankets / creation of design / beginning to sew
Second session: Additions to the design / continuing to sew
Third session: Completion of the blanket
